The number of dengue infected in Arasady, Koolavady and Sinna Uppodai in the Batticaloa Municipal area has increased.
About 10 dengue cases are reported every day, Batticaloa MOH Dr. K.Kirisuthan said.
The public has been advised to keep their surroundings clean and free from dengue breeding spots.
The Batticaloa MC is carrying out fumigation daily in the area.
