An all night Pirith Chanting ceremony was held at the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) to commemorate the 135 birth anniversary of its founder D. R. Wijewardene last night. Here ANCL Chairman W. Dayaratne, PC, inviting the Maha Sangha for the Pirith chanting by offering a tray of betel leaves. Senior members of the ANCL management were also present.
