Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Western, Central and Uva provinces during the evening or night, stated the Meteorology Department.
Fairly heavy falls above 75 mm can be expected at some places.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
