The Samurdhi State Ministry stated in a communiqué yesterday that a loan scheme would soon be provided to low-income families under the ‘Electricity for All’ Project.
The communiqué stated that loans would be provided through the Samurdhi Department for the repairing of damaged electricity poles and other technical issues. Furthermore, loans would be issued at an interest rate of 4%, subject to a maximum of Rs.20,000, the statement read.
It is expected to provide electricity to all households without electricity by the end of this year under the project, the State Ministry added.
