The Marine Forecasting Division of National Meteorological Centre has issued an advisory of rough sea and strong winds.
According to the advisory, "due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance in the South west and South east Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, the possibility for heavy showers or thundershowers and sudden roughness, associated with sudden increase of wind speed (50-60 kmph up to 70kmph) is high".
Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regard.
