Water Supply Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara assured that there will be no increase in water tariff in the near future.
He also said that the government was of the view that no increase should be made in a manner that would be burden to the public at a time when the people are facing difficulties due to the covid situation.
He was speaking at the launch of the 37th Conference of Geologists and launch of Research Papers on the subject at the Okre Hotel, William Gopallawa Mawatha, Kandy.
