Public Service, Provincial Councils and Local Government Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon awarded kits that could be used during childbirths to about 300 pregnant women at the Galewela Health Division Rural Health Centre.
The kits are worth Rs. 5,000 and were sponsored by the Galewela Pradeshiya Sabha.
The Minister also inaugurated a building at the Galewela Divisional Hospital.
Matale Parliamentarian Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon and Galewela Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman M.P.R. Jayatilleke were present.
