Attorney General Dappula de Livera received the report (Volume 01) of the Presidential Commission to Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday Attacks today.
Coordinating Officer to the Attorney General State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said that, after receiving the PCoI report-Volume 01, Attorney General requested from the Secretary to the President all proceedings, documents and materials of the PCoI pertaining to the Easter Sunday attacks (Volume 2-5) submitted to the presidential Secretariat.
She further said that the Attorney General requested all volumes of the reports to consider whether further investigations should be conducted before prosecuting the suspects in the Easter attack and to determine whether the suspects can be prosecuted based on the evidence presented at the PCoI.
