Two youths were killed when their motorcycle collided with a lorry near the Palaviya- Kaladiya Air Force camp in the Puttalam Police Division on Wednesday. The motorcyclist died on the spot and the victim was rushed to the Puttalam Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Chanaka Nisansala (20) and Pathum Malshan, residents of Manaweriya and Palaviya.
The lorry driver was arrested. Puttalam police are continuing investigations.
