Showers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Eastern, Central and Uva provinces, stated the Meteorology Department.
Fairly heavy falls above 50mm can be expected at some places.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 p.m. and fairly heavy falls above 75 mm can be expected at some places.
Showers can be expected in the Southern province in the morning too.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
