Over 130,000 people under self-quarantine

Over 130,000 people are currently being placed under home quarantine.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said those under house quarantine have been asked to stay indoors and also not allow outsiders from entering the houses.

The Police Spokesman said that people in the isolated areas should restrict their movement and abide by the quarantine rules, so that authorities would be able to lift the isolation status in a short period of time.

The police spokesman said that the isolation order is currently in force in three police divisions of Maligawatta, Dematagoda and Grand Pass in the Colombo district and the Kattankudy Police Division as well as Grama Niladhari divisions, apartments and streets in various parts of the country.
