More Lankans stranded abroad return

Another group of expatriates from UAE, Maldives, Australia, Japan and Qatar were brought to the island this morning, National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) sources said.

Accordingly, 43 from Maldives, 16 from Qatar, 12 from Australia, 50 from Japan and 60 from UAE are among those expatriates and all of them will be sent to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri forces for necessary quarantine process.

All returnees have been subjected to PCR testing at the airport premises.

Meanwhile, 90 from UAE, 50 from UK, one from Maldives, ten from Italy, 50 from Singapore, 199 from Qatar and 170 from Kuwait are expected to arrive in the country within the day
