More Lankans stranded abroad return

Another group of expatriates from Maldives, Qatar, UAE, Australia and Japan were brought to the island this morning, National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) sources said.

Accordingly, 24 from Maldives, 45 from Qatar, 68 from UAE, eight from Australia and 50 from Japan are among those expatriates and all of them will be sent to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri forces for necessary quarantine process.

Meanwhile, 70 from UAE, 72 from India, 16 from Maldives, 33 from Italy and 67 from Singapore are expected to arrive here within the day.
