Huawei has agreed to partner with the Education Ministry to provide 30,000 internet access points for students’ distance learning education.
A special meeting was held recently chaired by the Education Minister in this regard. Education Minister Prof G.L. Peiris said that providing internet facilities to schools is timely and valuable towards making the learning-teaching process more effective.
Education Ministry Secretary Prof. Kapila Perera, Information Technology Branch Education Director Udara Dikkumbura, Deputy Director MVT Malinda, Education Ministry Private Secretary Nalin Gamlath, Media Secretary Buddhika Wickramadara, Vice Presidents of Huawei Sri Lanka, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Richardo Xiao were also present.
