A 43-year-old COVID-19 positive patient who had escaped from the Punanai Treatment Centre was later located in Eheliyagoda, said the Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana,
He had escaped from the Punanai Treatment Centre last night while being treated after testing positive for the coronavirus.
DIG Ajith Rohana said that legal action will be taken against him under the Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance.
