The Health Ministry’s Epidemiology Unit said another 535 COVID-19 patients who have been treated at islandwide hospitals and COVID treatment centres were discharged increasing the total recoveries to 37,252 yesterday.
Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva said that 215 new COVID cases were identified by 4 pm yesterday.
With yesterday’s cases the total number of COVID positive cases detected from the country reached 44,586 and 7,123 of them are still under medical care.
