The total number of recoveries from COVID-19 in the country surpasses 55,000 mark as per the Epidemiology Unit’s tally. It is at 55,398 and there are only 5,891 active cases being treated in various hospitals across the country.
The total count of positive coronavirus cases found in Sri Lanka currently sits at 61,586.
The country has also witnessed 297 deaths from the virus.
