Wildlife and Forest Conservation Minister C B Rathnayake commenced self quarantining yesterday (27) for the second time following Coconut, Kithul, Palmyrah, and Rubber Cultivation Promotion and Related Industrial Product Manufacturing, and Export Diversification State Minister Arundika Fernando testing positive for COVID-19.
He commenced self quarantining as he was one of the close contacts of Arundika Fernando as the latter participated in an event in Walapane on January 24 presided by Minister Rathnayake.
Minister Rathnayake was self quarantined earlier once as he was a close contact of the Agarapathana Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman who tested positive for COVID 19. However he did not test positive on that occasion.
