CB extends suspension of Perpetual Treasuries for another six months

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has decided to extend the suspension of Perpetual Treasuries for another six months. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka stated that these steps have been taken in accordance with the Regulations issued under the Registered Securities and Exchange Ordinance and the Local Treasury Bills Ordinance. The Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has suspended the business and activities of a primary dealer of Perpetual Treasuries for the next six months with the intention of continuing its investigations.
