Almsgiving participants test COVID positive

Health officials say that 21 people who participated in an almsgiving at a house in Kegalle on December 29 without the proper permission of the health authorities have been infected with the COVID-19 virus.

Four of the participants were diagnosed with COVID and underwent PCR tests. The rest of the participants underwent PCRs and Antigen Tests and the results confirmed that 17 of them had contracted COVID.
