Seven fatal accidents have been reported during the last 24 hours, Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said adding that there has been an increase in accidents relating to smaller vehicles and pedestrians.
Out of the seven fatal accidents, two motorcyclists, two pedestrians and one pedal cyclist were killed. “Thirty-two individuals sustained injuries during this same period and I urge all those on the road not to become a victim of such accidents. We urge the drivers to follow road rules and read the road signs when driving.”
