Random Antigen tests for those who leaving Western Province

The Health Ministry in collaboration with Sri Lanka Police has taken measures to conduct random Rapid Antigen Tests on people leaving the Western Province from today (18) onwards.

Under the guidance of Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Rapid Antigen Tests will be carried out till further notice on the passengers crossing the borders of the Western Province with the intention of preventing further spread of COVID-19 virus to the other areas of the country, Director General of Health Services Dr Asela Gunawardane said.

Accordingly tests will be carried out randomly at Nittambuwa along the Colombo - Kandy road, Salawa, Kosgama along the Colombo - Rathnapura road, at Negombo along the Colombo-Chilaw road and at Beruwala along the Colombo-Matara road.
