More Lankans stranded abroad return

Another group of expatriates from Maldives, UAE, Qatar, Australia and Japan were brought to the island this morning, National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) sources said.

Accordingly, 31 from Maldives, 51 from Qatar, 75 from Australia, 210 from Japan and 63 from UAE are among those expatriates and all of them will be sent to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri forces for necessary quarantine process.

All returnees have been subjected to PCR testing at the airport premises.

Meanwhile, 24 from Maldives and 25 from Singapore are expected to arrive in the country within the day
