The Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva Provinces and the Galle, Matara Districts are misty during mornings these days, the Meteorology Department said.
“Showers over the Northern and the Eastern Provinces will enhance during the next few days. The Northeast monsoon is gradually getting established over the island and showers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern and North-Central Provinces and in the Matale District. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m,” the weather bulletin added.
“The sea areas from Colombo to Trincomalee via Puttalam, Mannar and Kankasanthurai will be fairly rough at times,” it added.
