The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued a Level 1 (yellow) landslide early warning for parts of Kandy, Matale and Nuwaraeliya districts. They are:
Kandy District: Doluwa and Ududumbara Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Matale District: Elahera Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Nuwaraeliya District: Walapane Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
NBRO has warned that should residents see development of cracks, ground subsidence, slanting of trees, cracks on floors built on slopes, sudden appearance of springs or muddy water should alert the authorities
