Former Parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara yesterday said that those who are bragging about their patriotism should be held responsible for the country losing the US$ 480 million Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) grant.
Range Bandara said that the United States has decided not to provide the MCC grant to Sri Lanka as the Government has been delaying the signing of the MCC agreement with the objective of gaining political mileage.
“The country is heading for anarchy due to the despotic rule of the Government. The country lost an outright grant of US$ 480 million and an opportunity to map all lands in the country due to the Government’s lethargic attitude,” he said.
