A meeting to facilitate services and to review the past public services that were carried out by local government institutions was held at the Batticaloa Municipal Council Auditorium on Saturday.
Batticaloa Municipal Commissioner Manikkavasagar Thayaparan presided over the meeting where the services rendered by the 15 Local Government Bodies in the Batticaloa District were reviewed.
The problem that the public faced in their respective local bodies were analyzed and solutions were suggested.
UNDP Programme Advisor G.Thangesweran, Deputy Commissioner Batticaloa Municipal Council U.Sivaraja, Chief Accountant Helen Sivaraja and Officials from Batticaloa Municipal Council were present.
