Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Uva, Central, Northern, North-central and North-western provinces after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy falls about 50mm are likely at some places, stated the Department of Meteorology.
There is a possibility to develop a low pressure area in the south-east of Bay of Bengal Sea area during next 24 hours
It is likely to affect weather over the island during next few days.
