Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over the most parts of the island in the afternoon or night, stated the Meteorology Department.
Showers will occur in the Southern province and in coastal areas of Western province in the morning too.
Fairly heavy showers above 50mm can be expected at some places in Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Kaluthara district.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
