Counseling hotline introduced for drug addicts

The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB) has introduced a special hotline to provide counseling services to drug addicts and their families.

General public can contact the following hotline 1927.

The decision was taken due to the prevailing COVID-19 epidemic, which has hampered access to treatment and counseling services for drug addicts.

The chairman of the NDDCB Dr. Laknath Welagedara said that the information could be obtained in Sinhala, Tamil and English.
