The Health Ministry confirmed the 74th death due to COVID-19 as the number of COVID-19 contracted patients rose to 19280.
According to Health Ministry sources, a 70-year-old male from Colombo 02 has died while receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
The country has witnessed 74 deaths from the virus.
