Two people have died after an elevator collapsed in Lewella, Kandy on Friday (16), the Police said.
The elevator had collapsed after one of its cables had snapped.
A 57-year-old man had died on the spot, while a 55-year-old man had died after being admitted to the Kandy General Hospital.
The Police said the two deceased were employees of a wholesale clothing store in Kandy. (NewsWire)
