The repatriation process will be temporarily halted due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the country.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry has decided to suspend the repatriation of Sri Lankans until further notice, said the Foreign Secretary Admiral (Retired) Prof. Jayanath Colombage.
He also said that, the flights bringing stranded Sri Lankans, would be restricted considering the capacity of the quarantine centres and hospitals resulting from the new cluster in the country.
