Except for a few showers in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts, mainly fair weather will prevail over the island, stated the Meteorology Department.
Fairly strong gusty winds of about 40-50 kmph can be expected in the Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces, Nuwara-Eliya and Trincomalee districts and in the western slopes of the central hills.
