The Ministry of Education will draw a final decision on the GCE Advanced Level and Grade five scholarship examinations based on the PCR test results of those connected to the new COVID-19 cluster in the Gampaha district.
Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that there were no changes as yet to the Grade five scholarship exam on Sunday (11) and the A/Level exam commencing from Monday (12).
All preparations have been completed to conduct the two examinations as scheduled, he said.
Minister Rambukwella said that however, the Government is awaiting the results of nearly 2000 PCR tests conducted over the last 24-hours to ascertain the impact caused by the latest outbreak.
The Ministry of Education will draw a final decision on the examinations based on the test results which are due today and tomorrow, he added. (NewsWire)
