Pansiyagama Vidyalaya students seek water

Six hundred and thirty students and 46 staff members of the Pansiyagama Maha Vidyalaya in Polpithigama lack drinking water. The school is under the Maho Zonal Education Division.

Principal I.M.Ananda Priyantha said that the school was set up in 1954. Although 66 years had passed since its inception, it has not been provided with drinking water to date. He said that the school receives a little water from a well of a farmer with a motor. Therefore, many students go to nearby houses and boutiques for water.
