Five accused were fined Rs. 75,000 for having 250 kg of venison by Galgamuwa Magistrate Rasika Mallawarachchi recently.
The suspects are residents of the Galgamuwa Police area of the Kurunegala District. They had been nabbed by a team led by Wildlife Officer I.M.G. Seneviratne and the Wildlife Unit OIC in Meegalewa.
