12 returnees tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday

The National Operation Centre for the Prevention of Covid-19 had identified twelve positive cases by this morning.

All of them were those who had returned to the country from overseas.

Accordingly, One of them was a returnee from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who was being quarantined at the Wellawatte Quarantine Center, two from India who were being quarantined at the Hotel Fairway quarantine center, another eight from Maldives who were being quarantined at Dhamminna and Pitipana quarantine centers and one returnee from Saudi Arabia who was being quarantined at Tangalle Suriya Resort quarantine center were those who had tested positive for Covid-19 by this morning

Further, another 6626 persons are currently in quarantine at 66 tri-forces operated quarantine centres.

Another 12 COVID-19 positive patients who had made a complete recovery had been released from hospital by this morning.
