The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) stated that the temporary power interruptions that have been in operation islandwide due to repairs at the Kerawalapitiya and Norochcholai power stations will not happen from today.
There was a power outage island wide on August 17 due to a technical fault in the transmission system.
Accordingly, the CEB announced power cuts for one hour and 45 minutes during the day and one hour during the night for four consecutive days until the system was restored.
