The annual Nikini festival of historic Munneswaram Sri Eswara Kovil, Chilaw will commence today (5).
The traditional Kap planting will take place at 12.00 noon. The final water cutting ceremony will be held in Deduru Oya on September 1, Munneswaram Kovil chief priest said.
