Chilli powder is one of the main ingredients of our meals. We cannot cook without chilli powder. Therefore chilli powder plays a main role in our food. We cannot eat our traditional Sri Lankan meals without chilli powder. So why do we talk about chilli powder now ? It is because it played a key role while struggling to protect Sri Lankan people's real mandate in the recent past. It was chilli powder which protected the real mandate of the Sri Lankan people given on February 10th in 2018.
Unfortunately we all remember the negative things stated by Yahapalana types about chilli powder and not what was done against people's real mandate during the past five years, especially in December 2018. Sri Lankans saw the ugly behaviour of Yahapalana goons during this time which was carried out misinterpreting Sri Lankan people's real mandate given on February 10th in the same year (2018) just nine months prior to the series of ‘tactics’ came into limelight.
It was chilli powder which stood by the majority of Sri Lankan people in December 2018 and it was chilli powder which protected their rights. Without chilli powder, innocent poor Sri Lankans had no voice within the Parliament in 2018 because the Parliament was full of individuals that did not represent them and who acted against their will. Anyone can say anything but the real patriotic Sri Lankan people who suffered during the past five years stood by chilli powder and showed the entire world on August 5th this year that it was chilli powder which stood by them.
It is the same with Gold. What is the value of Gold if worn or used by a traitor of the motherland with a PhD ?. Even if a convicted prisoner is ready to sacrifice his life for the motherland, he is not considered as a criminal. He is treated as a hero by the people. There is no use of platinum if it does not protect the will and the true mandate of the real Sri Lankan people. But even brass is much more valuable than gold if it protects the people's mandate no matter what is offered for not doing so.
We remember very well what the real Sri Lankan people's mandate was before November 2019. The mandate was there from May 01st in 2017 and it was confirmed by people on February 10th in 2018. After that, the previous regime did not have people's mandate to stay in power. But it used `tactics' to do so. It was Chilli powder and Gold which fought in Parliament to protect the real mandate of the people at that time. What matters is whether the Gold is 24 carat or not. It is whether Gold is with the traitors or patriots. That is all.
There was a very simple question in front of the Sri Lankan people on August 5th. A long question paper was cut short and became only one question due to the so called `Good Governance' (Yahapalanaya) experienced by the Sri Lankan people from 2015 to 2019. That one and only question was who are traitors and who are patriots ? Sri Lankan people answered this simple question very well and gave results with flying colours.
Before the General Election 2020, a prominent erudite Bhikku stated to the media that the people should send to Parliament really patriotic individuals who will stand by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and it should be the only factor that should be considered by the people when voting to elect their representative to Parliament. People did it. What is the point of sending frogs and chameleons to Parliament? This is the only factor that matters to the country and the people. MPs can be tall or short, pretty or ugly, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, old or young, experienced or new. But what matters is whether they stand by the President and the Prime Minister or not.
Then what about Batik, Kithul, Brass, Cane and Clay ?Anyone on social media can say anything but Batik, Kithul, Brass, Cane and Clay matter to Sri Lankans who value all things local. We, Sri Lankans need Potatoes, Onions, Chili, etc to survive. We have to produce them here in order to enable people to buy them for a low price while allowing our farmers who grow them to earn money. Why should we make some foreign farmers or producers rich ? We are Sri Lankans who eat Sri Lankan food, live in Sri Lanka and die in this priceless motherland one day.
We Sri Lankans do not need a Cabinet Minister or a State Minister for Apples, Cheese, Beer, Volkswagen, Palm Oil, Sausages, Burgers or Imported Clinical Waste. The Sri Lankan people very clearly said they do not need a Cabinet Minister or a State Minister of Imported Pepper, Plastic Rice, Plastic Vesak Lanterns, Copper, tons of plastic items, Beer, Whiskey or Imported Clinical Waste. The Sri Lankan people expressed this sentiment very loudly and clearly on November 16th in 2019 and on August 5th. The people said they can and they need to produce their own food and other requirements. They do not need `machines' or `techniques' to clean up imported rotten rice, potatoes and onions.
The Sri Lankan people gained something priceless and something unexpected from the result of the General Election 2020. It is the chance to see the real faces of many politicians no matter whether they are lay people or representatives of religions. The people received the golden chance to see their greed to power and money which was hidden inside words such as patriotism, dedication for work, love towards people, enthusiasm to develop the country etc. They saw the greediest individuals who enjoyed all comforts as former MPs, who were rejected by the people.
Only now the people of Sri Lanka see who they really are and whether they really fought to get the chance to work or to get the chance to earn money, power, vehicle permits etc. It was exposed due to the ‘musical chair competition’ created for the one or two Parliamentary seats received by them. Hereafter the Sri Lankan people will never vote for them if people remember things for more than two weeks.
The traitors of Mother Lanka cannot wait or rest at least for a few days or weeks. Why ? Now they know that they will never be able to grab power of this sacred land if the country and the people get rich, powerful and start to live without burning issues such as illicit drugs, underworld etc. They see very clearly that it will definitely happen due to the well drafted plan in hand, `Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour', the strategy which has already been gazetted and the team appointed to carry out the operation. Now they have to stop this `operation' no matter what they do. That is why they even considered the possibility of removing the mastermind of this ongoing operation.
They can try any dirty or even deadly tactic to stop the operation. Patriotic people of Sri Lanka should be vigilant in every second. Remembering things well will make it easy to safeguard the present and the future. Remembering things subject wise is the best way. How many subjects do we study in the school, in the university and in any other educational institution or stream? There are various subjects. What about remembering subjects allocated for each and every state ministry? Here we go.
What comes to your mind when it comes to the Buddhasasana Ministry's past from 2015 to 2019 ? No need to describe in details. It is very easy to remember from key words and one sentence. !. They are grabbing Till Boxes (Pin Keta), imprisoning Bhikkus for nothing, defaming Bhikkus, allowing certain factions of minorities to harass Buddhism, historical temples and Bhikkus. Those are a few from hundreds of similar things to remember.
Then comes the Education Ministry: ‘Ape Hathe Potha’; colourful school uniforms, estimating the total value of a student's life (just Rs. 200,000); trying to give tabs to school children who do not have a chair to sit, a table to keep books or at least a roof over their head.
The Health Ministry has the most number of key words to remember and people will never forget them because they are connected to the safety of their lives. It starts with SAITM in Malabe, the ‘Hora Upaadi Kade’ as described by State university students and doctors, low quality cancer drugs, all other low quality drugs, low quality medical equipment, etc. There is no need to give the key words for the other ministries.
The Higher Education Ministry was even combined with the Highways Ministry because all university students were protesting and walking on roads all the time. Remembering these examples from recent history itself can be called patriotism.
