Four individuals have been arrested on charges of carrying out a racket involving the sale of stolen motorcycles and three-wheelers.
The Police said the suspects have been identified as members of an organized group.
They were arrested during a raid conducted based on a tip-off received by the Gampaha Police.
Investigations have revealed that the suspects had stolen motorcycles and three-wheelers from the Kandana, Ja-Ela and Wattala areas.
The suspects had thereafter sold the vehicles with fake number plates for a lower price via a page on Facebook.
Police recovered 13 motorcycles and 03 three-wheelers that had been stolen by the suspects. (Newswire)
