Former minister Chamal Rajapaksa said that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa inherited a socially fragmented, politically divided and economically bankrupt country, and all must support him to steer the country towards prosperity. The former minister said that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has been preferred as the most cherished political stalwart in the country. “They will keep the pledges they gave to the public.
He said that their previous government succeeded in eradicating terrorism and trafficking drugs.
He said that at the moment the country is facing an economic crisis and all must get together to face it.
He said that the new regime will re-launch the development programmes they have initiated. He said that the President will support them to carry out the development programmes.
