WATCH : Striking shot by Master Blaster shatters iconic Grand hotel Chocolate Dessert to pieces

Former Sri Lanka Cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya was in for a pleasant surprise when he was given a Bat made of Swiss Chocolate to blast an opulent Dessert made to the form of a Kookaburra Ball again from Chocolate, at Grand Hotel NuweraEliya today.

The dessert was a masterpiece created by Chef Viraj Jayaratne. It took Viraj, three days to turn out this handmade dessert. Centre of the ball contained the Dessert with an Almond Macaroon and a Swiss Chocolate Marquise containing a blend of Five Sri Lankan Spices of Cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, Cumin and nutmeg. A gourmet dessert par excellence which also has the original signature of Master Blaster Sanath Jayasuriya in Edible ink.

“Sanath being a left armed batsman did the yeomen task of striking the Ball at one go, shattering the chocolate ball. Relishing the Dessert, he was fascinated with its unique taste” Grand hotel said in a Facebook post.
