The Colombo Chief Magistrate today issued a warrant on Shashi Weerawansa, the wife of Minister Wimal Weerawansa.
The warrant was issued on the case filed regarding the use of forged documents to obtain a passport.
Shashi Weerawansa is accused of fraudulently obtaining two passports, including a diplomatic passport, by submitting forged documents to the Department of Immigration and Emigration
Weerawansa who had submitted documents with forged names and dates of births to obtain the passports was initially arrested in February 2015 and later released on bail. (Newswire)
