The Consumer Affairs Authority has taken measures to carry out special raids island-wide to nab medical test laboratories. Those who charge or levy any charges or fees directly or indirectly for conducting laboratory tests, said the Chairman of CAA, Major Genral Shantha Dissanayake.
The Consumer Affairs Authority issued a gazette setting a maximum fee for laboratory tests carried out to diagnose dengue virus infection.
Maximum charge for Full Blood Count (FBC) Test is Rs 400 per test and report and maximum charge for NSI Antigen Test for Dengue is Rs 1,200 per test and report.
