Indian National Team and Mumbai Indians speedster Jasprit Bumrah was recently interviewed for the ICC by Ian Bishop and Shaun Pollock.
When he was asked about his experiences in sharing the dressing room with Sri Lankan Pacer Lasith Malinga, Bumrah fondly recalled his memories with arguably the best T20 bowler so far.
“He has had a different action from his younger days, so he had shared his experience, where he was told that he won’t long last”, said Bumrah.
Talking about the art of bowling Yorkers, Bumrah told that although he developed his Yorker-bowling abilities while playing tennis ball cricket and used it to his strength, Malinga guided him to make tactical discussions in bowing Yorkers.
“He is the best Yorker bowler in the world and he has used it for such a long period of time for the best of his advantage. Discussions with him on how to use the Yorker better and in what situations I could use it, were very good”, stated the much feared Indian speedster of the current generation.
Who better to learn from than "the best yorker bowler in the world"?!
