Police arrested two persons, including the Kalutara Pradeshiya Sabha Opposition Leader, for unlawful assembly and the violation of COVID-19 health regulations.
They were arrested following a complaint made by the Kalutara Vernon Fernando Grounds Manager, who had told police that the suspects had forcibly entered the playground by breaking down its gates.
The Kalutara Magistrate has granted bail to the suspects. Investigations are continuing.
