Shipping and Road Development Minister Johnston Fernando said that Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will have a sweeping victory at the forthcoming election from the North Western Province, capturing over 12 seats.
He said lawyers, teachers, farmers and public servants of the Sathkorale are extending their fullest support to ensure the victory of the SLPP.
“Former UNP Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam was presenting a misleading picture of the SLPP manifesto,” Johnston said.
“Where are the Volkswagen factory and Rs. 2,500 that UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe promised to the public?” Johnston asked.
