President Gotabaya Rajapaksa now leads the country exemplary and provides instructions and advices to the administrators including even those at the Central Bank in order to rebuild the country after the COVID 19 pandemic, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) contestant in Anuradhapura Duminda Dissanayake said.
He was addressing an election meeting recently in Eppawala. A large number of UNP supporters joined the SLPP in support of Duminda Dissanayake on the occasion.
He said that the lethargy of the country’s administration should be changed immediately to rebuild the country, which has been nearly locked down for months by the Covid-19.
The former minister said that the people have to make a crucial decision to form a strong Parliament in support of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the forthcoming General Elections.
“We must support the President unconditionally to win the fight against terrorism, racism and corruption,” “Dissanayake said.
“Financial regulations, codes, rules, and outdated acts make development impossible. These out of date regulations should be abolished or amended. The President will have the support of a 2/3 parliament after the forthcoming election in this regard. Therefore, the voters should strengthen the President’s hands with an unprecedented majority in Parliament at the elections,” Dissanayake said.
He said the people are now lauding the President and the Government because they succeeded in controlling COVID 19 while many other countries utterly failed in the task, Duminda Dissanayake said.
